This course curriculum includes the two following courses Online Auditing a Quality Management System ISO 9001:2015 and Online Lead Auditor Training ISO 19011:2018. The following topics are included:

  1. How to apply Quality Management System audit principles and practices to ISO 9001:2015
  2. The personal and interpersonal skills required for auditing
  3. The processes involved with managing audit programs
  4. How to initiate and prepare for an audit
  5. How to conduct on-site audit activities, reporting on audit findings and conducting post-audit activities
  6. Appropriate oral, written and non-verbal communication techniques needed to lead an audit

A strong working knowledge of and/or experience working with ISO 9001 is recommended.

On successful completion of this course, participants will obtain the knowledge on how to:

  • Review auditee documentation
  • Participate in developing audit schedules
  • Identify, gather, analyse and evaluate information
  • Compile results and report findings
  • Assess the scope and objectives of a quality audit
  • Communicate with an auditee regarding the proposed quality audit
  • Identify the resources required to conduct a quality audit
  • Develop and submit a quality audit plan
  • Prepare and manage an audit plan
  • Identify and prepare checklists and audit related documentation
  • Conduct entry and exit meeting
  • Guide team members in continuously improving their performance
  • Negotiate the follow-up process with auditees
  • Monitor and review audit systems and activities

There is an Assessment Workbook that must be completed for the curriculum and submitted to SAI Global for marking by an assessor after completion of the online curriculum. They will then advise if competency for the Units of Competency has been achieved.

When deemed competent in the offline activities for Auditing a Quality Management System and Online Lead Auditor Training, participants will receive the below TPECS competency units which are certified by Exemplar Global.

Does this course have any assessment requirements?

As an accredited course, this course contains assessment requirements. The course contains online knowledge checks and an assessment workbook containing offline assessment activities. Your assessment will need to be submitted to SAI Global within 6 months of completion of the course for marking to obtain the units of competency.

How do I access my certificate?

If the course has a Statement or a Certificate of Attainment you will be emailed this as a pdf on successful completion of all course assessment requirements. This will take up to 28 days once attainment of the relevant units of competency is confirmed by the assessor.
